Clinical Supervision Day
Two thirds into the course you will be attending a Clinical session of 3 hours, providing 2 massage treatments on members of the public where you will be assessed on dress code, preparation, taking a case history, technique and professional conduct in preparation for your final assessment.
The Massage Project
Throughout your course you must complete a 30 hour (minimum) massage project and are required to submit a written dissertation 2 weeks after your assessment. We have always tried to encourage a community based project, ie working with charities or the health sector, generally in an area where massage is not available or affordable.
Assessment
You will carry out a massage and you be assessed on dress code, table & room set up, case history sheets and professional conduct.
Diploma
You will be continuously assessed throughout the course and will be marked on attendance, the Clinical, Assessment and your Project. The overall score will determine whether you pass or pass with distinction.
The LCM Diploma enables the graduate to obtain full indemnity insurance to practice massage and to register with professional associations such as the FHT, BCMA, APNT, and CHT.
